It was stored in my dads basement on the floor and the city storm drain backed up and put 3in of water into the machine. I tried to use it the other day and this is what happened. I had two mm130 one was a 130 xp. I would say a fair comparison would be to a Lincoln sp 125 plus. The cost was about even ($500.00 new) The MM 130 was really not much of a welder but the xp version could more then hold it's own with the 125 Lincoln. The cable must be kept as strait as posible and dont twist it.It doesn't matter whether you measure amps or volts because it' the watts (power) that make heat. A 120V MIG welder turned all the way up will put out about 90A at 18V, around 1600W. A stick weld with a 3/32" 7018 or 1/8" 6010/6011 at 85A will be around 26V or 2200W, significantly more power.I have an SP135+, a slightly newer version of the 125+. It usually feeds OK but every once in a while it will go in fits and starts. The problem is usually too much pressure on the nut (maybe a wing nut) that holds the wire spool in place. I just got an older lincoln sp 125 plus and the panel/door doesnt match. I believe it was changed. Its a wel pak 100 door but its not a weld pak 100.
